My oil cap is painted. Its just some metallic engine paint from Autozone. The battery is just luckily all black for the most part.
Oh and what really helps is, high grit sand paper, primer, paint.

LOL. Thanks for the compliment. Your well on your way to having a great wagon.

All I did for the metal part. Put a few layers of tape around the area to protect it then go to autozone and get a gentle brass brush wheel. Insert into drill, and have at it.
