Running Update

I decided this morning to see exactly how far away I was from my goal of running a 5k in 30 minutes. So I ran for 30 minutes and measured the distance: I went 4k or 2.5 miles. And I wasn't completely wrecked afterwords. I'm starting to think the 5k in 30 minues goal may fall sooner than I orignally thought. I have my eye on a couple races in the middle of summer.

Saturn inspires me to get back into shape

At the Saturn Retailer National Convention in early April they surprised us with a chance to go for a morning run on the National Mall with Frank Shorter, Gold Medalist in the marathon for the USA at the '72 Olympics. Talk about your once-in-a-lifetime opportunities! Since I hadn't bring any running attire I was unable to participate.
