What's new for 2009?

Saturn Team can you talk about what's new on the 2009 Sky since the 08's are done. I have seen the new colors but there must be more. Anything you want to share?

Hi, Jim.

You've got great timing with these questions, since Saturn just released full 2009 product information. Yesterday, Mike from Saturn solved the 4x6=33 riddle and posted some other model year highlights on the main page. We'll be posting some of the highlights for each model over the next couple of weeks, so you'll certainly see additional details on the Sky.

Stay tuned and thanks!

Our dealer didn't seem to think anything fancy was happening with the Skys. He just ordered his '09s and it was just the colors that were different.....though I did hear that the braking system on the RLs will be rolled back to the 2007 design....

It's to bad that no one can or will answer the original question, "whats new for 09". You can order an 09 but you can't know what it offers. This site is boring and not very informative. The color of the header was the most important thing that was talked about.

Hello again, Jim and everyone.

Hot off the presses, 2009 Sky information is now available on ImSaturn! Check it out by visiting the main page or clicking this link: 2009 SATURN SKY ROADSTER REMAINS A HEAD-TURNER, NOT A MONEY BURNER.

Let us know if you have any specific questions about the '09 Sky. We'd be happy to answer them!

Cheers,

I saw this at the Warwick, RI dealership. I am not sure if it's a 2008 or 2009 but I like it. T.

Hey T
If I'm not mistaken that color is Carbon flash .

Have you seen this yet? Hmmmm Carbon flash. Looks like black to me.

All I have seen are pictures on Sky roadster, the carbon flash comes with the strip.

It looks so much better in person. .Goodness I just love these roadsters.

T:

Yes, it looks like black because it is black (or actually really dark gray). Only this black has metallic flakes in the paint (where the old black had no metallic flake).

Also, looks like the dealership had a brilliant marketing idea of including some beach toys with the car ('cause leather seats, low profile, and very little trunk space are exactly what you look for in a car to take you to the beach)... not that the car won't look hot on the beach (it looks hot everywhere), just not very practical.

The Sky and Solstice weren't designed to be "practical" cars, just tons of fun to drive and cruise around in. Which is exactly why I bought one! But I have found new ways to pack light and be able to take the car on extended weekend trips.
