Jill Lajdziak Facts vs. Fiction

As I watch the media reports and answer questions from friends and colleagues, I realize that there is still a lot of wrong information floating around out there about the requested federal funds for U.S. automakers. Therefore, GM has created a website to help answer common questions, detail the facts and figures of how much is at stake here, and dispel some of the myths. If you're interested in seeing how big the situation really is or what you can do to help, please go to… Continue

Mike Driving and Blogging in ATL

As part of our continuing relationship with the BlogHer online community, Saturn had the opportunity last week to get together with a group of bloggers in Atlanta. We brought down several new Saturns for them to test drive, and enjoyed the opportunity to get to know such interesting group of women (and a couple of their husbands). The bloggers took their driving seriously, and bravely faced the temperatures in the mid-50’s with the top down on the Sky Red Line. Tough duty. We even brought down… Continue

karin bridges He said; she said

I bought my husband's car on May 15 of this year. It was raining that day. The dealer's Sales Manager, Gabe, told us to come back another time to have the car detailed, and they would fix anything wrong with it when it wasn't raining. We were out of town all summer. I called Gabe and told him it would be a while before we brought the car back, and he said there was "no hurry." (As an aside, when I was shopping for cars at this dealership, I actually looked at purchasing the demo Outlook Gabe wa… Continue

Saturn team It's time to vote... again!

If you haven't had a chance yet, make sure to take a look at our latest poll, located on the left sidebar on the main page of ImSaturn. This week we're wondering which Saturn President-Elect Obama would drive if he had the chance. Right now there's a tie for first between the Outlook and the Vue Hybrid. So vote for Saturn... again!

Will Stewart Building Houses and Creating Homes

What happens when a bunch of office workers pick up hammers and saws and spend a day bending nails with a couple of professionals? I can tell you what happens on the east side of Detroit: houses get built. I know, because I recently spent a day working on a crew with a bunch of Saturn employees, building exterior walls for a house being built by Habitat for Humanity, Saturn’s Hands On Homes projec… Continue

Saturn team How we choose music for Saturn commercials

We’ve gotten a lot of positive comments, feedback and questions regarding the selection of music for our Saturn commercials. So we thought we’d take a few minutes and explain the process of how we select our music. Saturn’s advertising agency (Deutsch LA) goes through extensive steps to ensure that the songs used on the spots are a perfect fit. The Senior Music Producer works with the creative team in first obtaining a pool of music that falls within the personality of the Saturn brand. We usua… Continue

Hello Lesley, I found your blog and want to know more about the ladies taking road trips in Saturn vehicles. I'm the editor of Saturn 360° magazine and we're starting to plan content for our Spring 2009 issue. We would love to set something up with the Saturn owners who participated in the BlogHer activities. If there are further activities planned after the first of the year, we'd like to know about them. Saturn NJ 2009 Saturn Aura

In the past the Aura’s six-speed automatic transmission was only available in the Aura XR with a six cylinder engine. For the 2009 Aura that has changed, the 2009 model can now be selected to have a four cylinder engine, six-speed automatic in the XR. The interior is screwed together well and is solid. The instrument panel is classy and the climate control and radio knobs have a good heft to them. The Aura XR has options such as: paddle shitting, 17-inch… Continue

Liz car service question

So I'm wondering if there is any feedback I can get about tire life. I travel a lot all around North Carolina and also up to Virginia and apparently my tires are "old"--2005--and I've been told they look to be starting dry rot and could burst. How truthful is this and if it is truthful how quickly could this happen? Any feedback?? Continue

Chris Schmidt It was a Great Summer and Fall!

It was a great Summer and Fall this year all due to our New Astra XR-3. But for this year all good things must come to an end or at least slow down a bit. We had our first SNOW fall last night and because of that, the Astra will get a well deserved rest for the next few months while Snow and Ice is around. I love my Summer Tire Option and I just don't want to give those up. I'll leave the plates and insurance on it just in case, but here is hoping that she won't go out in any bad weather! I hav… Continue

Car Advice For Women An Experts' View of Saturn

In our considered and expert (more on that in a minute) opinion, Saturn is the best brand on the market for anyone who's looking for a good product at a fair price, and who wants to be treated decently throughout the buying and ownership process. This is not to say that every Saturn model and every Saturn dealer is going to provide a perfect experience, but your chances of being treated well are better at a Saturn store than they are anywhere else, regardless of price. Saturn has even upgraded… Continue

Melissah Bruce-Weiner SATURN VUE – It's not just something at the Planetarium!

Who knew? Really? Um, yeah. And the reason that I know this? Oh, experience, it teaches you volumes! Yep. Comes with age. And learning. Like all I learned about the Saturn Vue on my recent Carpooling Roadtrip with fellow Bloggers Cathy & Sarah from Knoxville to DC for the BlogHer Reach Out Tour this month.
