Hey guys! Mike Morrissey from Saturn found this photo from an old press kit that he thought you guys might enjoy. It shows the difference between a regular Ion and the Redline edition.

Oh the motor build..... the head was actually one that Thundersport used in one race, then swapped out - it was just a stock head w/ flat face valves (from a '93) (the joys of national level SCCA racing). Turns out that letting it sit in my garage for 4 years didn't do it any good - a valve broke after a few seconds of running. So I ended up rebuilding the bottom end of the old engine, so no World Challenge pistons for now - going to have to source a replacement for the one destroyed by the valve, and a new block (the piston tried to leave the sleeve - if you catch my meaning) - and a new head. I'll post pics soon.

hey Kevin, how's that engine coming along?

if you don't mind, I'd like to see the head when you get it back from Thundersport.
